If you have any questions about a specific perk let me know and I can elaborate further. the healthrower is for healing/buffing multiple people or someone that cant be reached by healing dart, it should not be used offensively. if you do find that appealing then you want to take all left side skills, try to get smg for round two, then trade it for AR, then get the healthrower later in the game in addition to AR. ![]() if you do not find the idea of only healing your teammates and hardly killing zeds to be fun, then don't play as a medic. Medic - a medic's job is to heal and buff his team. I put surv in the small zed category because I think it's most effective loadout is as a small zed killer and minor medic, although you could go for big zeds depending on what loadout you use. it takes a decent understanding of the game to use surv well in higher difficulties, and even then it highly depends on your loadout and the other perks on your team. Survivalist - I wouldn't recommend using this perk until you've leveled up all the other ones a good deal. although I should note that the level 25 skill to shoot unlimited ammo at real time speed in zed time can be strong even on HoE if theres a good commando on the team to extend zed time. swat has big zed killing potential by way of stun grenade/kriss in suicidal or lower difficulties. it's most unique features are it's stun grenade and the ability to start the game with free armor and free 9mm, but don't forget to switch off those skills after round one. Swat - swat is basically a commando that can't extend zed time. helios without zed time is okay as well, but only shoot it at zeds that are already aggro'd. a good commando and a level 25 firebug with helios can lead to some very powerful zed times. but when you get to level 25 you have some massive big zed killing potential in the form of bottomless ammo, near real time shooting (in zed time) of the helios rifle. a good firebug knows when to not shoot though, you shouldn't aggro the big zeds with flames. you can also incorporate an FAL in your loadout and have some big zed killing potential if need be, but don't forget your main job is to keep the trash off your teammates.įirebug - firebug excels at holding a tight lane like a doorway. the zerker's main job is to get the big zeds focused on him and mostly parry them so the rest of the team can kill them without worrying about taking so much damage.Ĭommando - commando's job is to kill small zeds and extend zed time by timing kills correctly. also your team can get a nade from you once a round.īerserker - this is more of a tank perk. if you want you can pair it with the kaboomstick and also kill small zeds extremely well. like gunslinger this is definitely a headshot focused perk.ĭemo - RPG is capable of taking the head off scrakes and doing massive damage to fleshpounds. ![]() Sharpshooter - if you take the right loadout you can one shot kill medium zeds and still have a weapon for the big boys. also your team can get ammo from you once a round. lowkey great at killing smaller zeds as well because of penetration. Support - fantastic bullet penetration and good damage. Gunslinger - fantastic dps and good movement speed. The main question is do you want to focus mostly on bigger zeds, small zeds, or on healing and buffing your team instead of killing? I'll categorize the perks and give a quick rundown on what they are about. I'm going to ignore your question of ranking the perks and instead focus on that you are new and probably just want an idea of what perk(s) to play. Remember: Perks are not bad at their core. Helios Rifle + any weapon except MWG and Husk CannonĪs you can see each perk has its own loadout and skill tree which will allow player to reliably perform Fleshpound/Scrake takedowns, while also having primary/secondary weapon to deal with lesser enemies. In the following table below I am going to provide a list of loadouts that are suitable for both controlling huge crowds of trash/medium zeds and hunting large zeds: PerkĪny melee (bar Katana, Road Redeemer and Crovel) + NailgunĪA-12 + Boomstick + HZ-12, Doomstick + HZ-12 Overall, the perks can be divided on 3 groups: Trash killersĬommando, SWAT, Berserker, Field Medic, Firebug Ranking could have made sense back when the game was released in 2015 or 2016, but in its current state, when literally all perks are shifted towards generalist-playstyle, there is no point in putting currently available perks in certain order (from best to worst or whatever). Commando and SWAT control trash crowds better, while Sharpshooter and Demolitionist are good at disposing large threats. ![]() The game is designed in a way that each perk has its own strengths and weaknesses, e.g.
